Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms carefully before proceeding with your booking.
Delivery fee
An additional delivery charge may apply, and the hirer will be informed accordingly. Extra charges will also apply for pick-up times before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM.  

Driver’s age and licence requirements
Drivers must present a valid National Identification Card. Eligible drivers must be between 23 and 65 years old. Foreign nationals holding a valid driving licence in English are allowed to drive in Malaysia for up to 3 months. Probationary (P) licence holders are not accepted.  

Minimum rental
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). Any extension exceeding 6 hours will be charged at the full-day rate.  

Mileage policy
200KM per day (applicable within Sandakan or Kota Kinabalu area only).  

Vehicle collection
Please bring a photocopy of your identity card or passport, driving license, business card, or any relevant document to verify your home or working address.   During vehicle collection, the hirer must inspect the vehicle for any existing damage or missing parts.

If any damage or missing items are found before taking the vehicle, please inform our staff immediately. Any unreported damage or missing parts will be considered the hirer’s responsibility.  

Insurance & excess
All vehicles are covered under a standard motor vehicle insurance policy.However, the hirer is responsible for the following excess amounts:  
Group A: up to MYR2,000, Group B: up to MYR3,000, Group C: up to MYR5,000, Group D: up to MYR10,000  

The hirer may opt for excess protection to reduce liability as follows:
  • Group A — RM30 | Below 1000cc | Excess reduced to RM1,000
  • Group B — RM40 | 1001cc–1500cc | Excess reduced to RM2,000
  • Group C — RM50 | 1501cc–2000cc | Excess reduced to RM3,000
  • Group D — RM60 | 2001cc and above | Excess reduced to RM4,000
 
Insurance and excess protection do not cover damages or losses caused by negligence, careless actions, illegal activities, or improper vehicle use. Coverage also excludes tyre punctures, burst tyres, fuel misfuelling, battery damage due to electrical devices left on, and loss or damage to vehicle accessories.  
Insurance applies only to collisions involving two moving vehicles. Any damage that occurs while the vehicle is stationary will be fully borne by the hirer and subject to the applicable excess.  
For accidents involving a third party, the hirer must obtain the third party driver’s details, including name, IC/Passport number, driving licence number, and vehicle registration number. If a claim cannot be made against the third party’s insurance, all repair costs will be borne by the hirer and subject to the applicable excess.  

Underbody and overhead damages are entirely at the hirer’s own risk. Insurance and excess protection will be void if the vehicle is driven on unsealed or unfinished roads.  

The hirer must notify our representative immediately in the event of an accident or vehicle theft. A written police report must be lodged within 24 hours of the accident or upon discovery of theft or loss.  

Penalties
Vehicles must be returned in clean and good condition. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. A cleaning penalty of MYR300 will be imposed for strong or unpleasant odours caused by smoking, fruits (e.g. durian), or seafood.  

All traffic or parking summons are the hirer’s responsibility. A penalty of MYR50 will apply if payment is not made within the specified timeframe after notification.  

For long-term rentals, the hirer is responsible for returning the vehicle to the nearest branch when servicing is due. A penalty of MYR1.00 per KM will be charged for mileage exceeding 500KM beyond the service limit.  

Speed limit
The speed limit on normal roads is 90KM/h. In city areas, please do not exceed 70KM/h. If any speed summons is issued (with supporting documentation), the company reserves the right to claim the penalty from the renter, even up to one year after the rental period due to delayed updates from the authorities.  

Outskirts / outstation usage
Published rental rates apply to city area usage only. Travel outside Sandakan or Kota Kinabalu city limits will incur additional outstation charges (please consult our Sales Team for rates). Using the vehicle outside city limits without prior notice will result in a MYR200 penalty, excluding the applicable outstation charges.  

Returning the vehicle  
Please inform us in advance if you wish to return the vehicle early or extend the rental period. Additional charges will apply if the return location differs from the pickup location, or if the return time is before 8:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. A refuelling surcharge of RM10 per fuel bar will be charged if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at the time of collection.  

Cancellation policy  
All cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the booking date. We reserve the right to retain the rental deposit for cancellations made less than 3 days prior to the booking date. In the event of early termination before the agreed rental period ends, no refund (full or partial) will be provided.
